Plants Docketed Prior to July 1,1976" (Enclosure 1). This docunent presents certain acceptable alternatives for operating plants to the l

positions given in APCSB 9.5-1.

We are sending this to you for your information because we will be using Appendix A in our evaluation of your olant.

After reviewing your August 31, 1976, submittal in response to our i

letter, we believe your response does not adequately present the re-sults of your fire hazards analysis. We stress that in order to begin i

a re-evaluation of the fire protection program of your facility, you must perform a fire hazards analysis with the assistance and technical direction of a cualified fire protection engineer.

In order for us to evaluate your fire %zards analysis ve require that you subait the re-sul ts in sufficie.n dail.

To provide further guidance, we are enclos-ing a copy of "Supplencntary Guidance on Infomation fleeded For Fire Protection.Progran Evaluation" (Enclosure 2).

This docunent indicates the type of information that will enable us to evaluate' the total fire hazards an.11ysis for your facility. This type of information nay or nay not be included in the detailed point-by-point comparison with Standard Review Plan 9.5.1 depending upon how you present that information.

certain additional infomation needs. At the present time you should begin collecting the infomation identified in Enclosure 2 but not

You may defer submittal of this infornation, however; so that you can combine it with your response to questions we expect to submit to you following our site visit.

In addition, we request that by December 1,1976, you propose Technical Specifications for your prment fire protection systens and infom us of the date you intend to 1.ieet Section B of Appendix A "Adninistrative Procedures, Controls and Fire Brigade".
