This office has received a copy of your April 20, 1978 request for approval

of changes to your operator requalification program pursuant to Section jEEE 50.54 (1-1) of 10 CFR Part 50 which you filed with the Division of Project Managcnent(DPM). The request relates to your program for Rancho Seco Nuclear Generating Station Unit No.1.
The request was not accompanied by an approval fee as prescribed by Section 170.22 of 10 CFR Part 170.

Section 170.12(c) requires that your company provide a proposed determination of the amendment (approval) class, state the basis E=
w therefor, and submit the fee with your application for the approval or anendoent.

Fees are payable to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Comission by check, draft, or money order.
If after the final evaluation F
of your request is completed it is detemined that it was incorrectly i=5!:
classified, you will be billed for any additional amount due.
As a matter of infomation, changes to other programs which must be sutmitted to the Comission for approval pursuant to Part 50 (such as physical security (i===
plan changes pursuant to 50.54(p) which decrease the effectiveness of the F
plan) should also be classified in the same manner as described above.
