1 Attached please find ten copies of the report on the gener'-, evalua-tion of the Significant Deficiency identified in the design of the capture /
device in the Internals Handling Fixture Spherical Nut.
This d6ficiency has been reported to the affected utilities and remedial action has beed initiated through field change packages. The design modifications described in the report are being factcred into the design for later plants.
O Plants affected by this deficiency are as follows:
Duke Power Conpany Oconee Units 1, 2, & 3 Metropolitan Edison Co.
