In Re:
Florida Power Corporati Crystal River ! iclear Generating Plant Docket No. 50-3C
Dear Mr. Moore:
During earlier discussions with the AEC staff, concerns were raised about radiological monitoring of personnel associated with the two fossil-fueled units, Crystal River Units 1 and 2, which are located adjacent to Crystal River Unit 3.
Florida Power Corporation gave verbal assurance that steps would be taken to include surveillance of Ur.its 1 and 2 in the routine surveillance programs for Unit 3.
We agree that this would be desirable and would yield added confidence that Unit 1 and 2 personnel would not be exposed to radiation, or undergo radiation doses, in excess of acceptable limits.
To complete our commitment, we intend to modify the FSAR accordingly to reflect this activity. Attached is a proposed revision of Page 11-19a of the FSAR for your consideration. We feel that this will adequately record our commitment to your satisfaction. This page revision will be included in Amendment #41 to the Crystal River Unit 3 License Application which will be filed in September,1974.
Feel free to contact us if further discussion is desired.
Your very truly, o 1 12 J.T.
