Dear Mr. Waldron:
In accordance with the understandings which were reficcted in Secretary Udall's letter of March 20, 1964 to Chairman Seaborg, I ain forwarding, under separate cover, Volunos 1, 2, 3, and 4 of the Prclininary Safety J.nnlysis Report iiled by blorida kower Corporation for the proposed construction end operatian of two pressurized water nucient reactors on the Corporation's sita on the Gulf of Mexico, 70 miles north of Ta:apa and about 7s ciles northwest of Crystal River, Citrus County, Florida. The proposed nuclear' power plants, designated by the applicant as the Crystal River Units 3 & 4 Nuclear Generating Plant, are each designed for initial operation at approximately 2452 megawatts thatual with a gross electrical output of approximately 855 megawatts.
We would appreciate rocciving the results of a revieu by tha Engineering Geology Branch of those geologicci features of the location for the proposed reactors which may have a bearing upon our evaluation of the suitability of the proposed site.
