NOV 301973 R. C. DeYoung Assistant Director for Pressurized Water Reactors, L PROPOSED CRANGES IN THE TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS OF DUKE POWER CO OCONEE-1 REACTOR (DOCKET NO. 50-269)
A meeting was held on November 1,1973 with representatives of the Duke Power Company and Babcock & Wilcox Company to discuss Abnonnal Occurrence Report A0-269/73-5. The Technical Specifications of Oconee-1 were also discussed at this meeting. Duke Power Company and B&W proposed a number of changes in the Technical Specifications and the staff agreed to evaluate the changed Technical Specifications when suitable documentation had been submitted.
i At this time Duke Power Company proppses changes in Technical Specifications 3.5.2.4 (Quadrant til6) and 3.5.2.5 Icontrol rod positions). However, documentation has not yet been received to evaluate these changes. This documentation when submitted should be similar in content to that submitted in BAW-10078 entitled " Operational Parameters for B&W Rodded Plants."
Therefore, since the proposed changes in the Technical Specifications are substantial, suitable documentation must be submitted before an evaluation of the changed Technical Specifications can be mad v.
