Certification by the State of South Carolina under the Federal Unter Pollution Control Act as to discharges from the Oconee Nuclear Station was recently requested by members of your staff.
Attached are two copies of a November 21, 1972 letter from the State of South Carolina Pollution Control Authority certifying that there is reasonable assurance that Oconee Nuclear Station will be operated in such a manner that it will not violate applicable water quality standards.
