MAY 17 '471 Note to File OCONEE TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS (DOCKET NOS. 50-269/270/287)

The Technical Specifications revised in July 1971 and again by Amendments 30 and 31 (Revisions 18 & 19) to the Duke Power Company application for an operating license are found to be acceptable for issuance of an operating license for Oconee Unic No. 1 provided the following minor changes are made.

It is anticipated that at a later date these Technical Specifications will need to be upgraded for Oconee Units 2 and 3 and to possible strengthen them in the areas of future Appendix I (10 CFR 50) requirerents and guidance issued in Safety Guides 16 and 21 once operating experience has been acquired.

For reference purposes a copy of the marked un Technical Specifications is attached.

- Items 16, 18, 20 - Change "B/M" to "M" in the " Test" Column.
