Kuhlman, Assistant Director for Radiological, Environmental and Ebterials Inspection, IE:HQ ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS, DUi'E POWER COMPANY, OCONEE By our memo to the Deputy Director for Field Operations on September 11, 1974, deficiencies in Appendix B Technical Specification 1.4.A for Oconee were identified and early consideration of changes recommended to correct these deficiencies was requested. The deficiencies reported per-tained to monitoring and reporting of fish, fish eggs and larvae impinged on condenser cooling water intake screens. The request was assigned Action Item Track No. F20018H0 and was closed out by your memo of October 24, 1974, to the Ascistant Director for Environmental Projects, Licensing. Copics of our memo of September 11, 1974, and your memo of October 24, 1974, are enclosed.

During telephone conversations with Licensing and the licensee on February 14, 1975, IE:II determined that action had not been initiated by them to change the Oconee Appendix B Technical Specification 1.4.A.

Your follow-up is requested to obtain changes to the Ocoree Technical Specification as recommended by our memo of September 11, 1974.
