This is to infom the Joint Comittee that the Comission has received additional antitrust advice from the Attorney General in connection with Duke Power Company's license applications for Oconee Units 1, 2 and 3, McGuire Nuclear Station Units 1 and 2. and Catawba Nuclear Station Units 1 and 2.

This advice is rendered pursuant to section 10Sc of the Atomic Enercy Act of 1954, as aranded.

A copy of the Attorney General's letter dated April 26,1974 is enclosed.

In his letter he concludes:

"Given Applicant's undertaking to accept these comitments as license conditions, the Depart::ent now believes antitrust hearings will not be necessary with regard to the Oconee, I'<Guire and Catawba license appi tcations. We therefore withdraw our previous letters of advice concerning those thrae aop11 cations and recomend that appropriate steps be taken to teminate the scheduled antitrust proceedings thereon."
