RE PARR REACTOR PROJECT On December 15th, Mr. Fiss of Duke Power Company called to request an appointment for himself, 0.G. Miller, Ray Talton and Harold Babb of the four principal companies involved in the Parr reactor project, respectively, with members of the Regulatory Staff and, if appropriate, representatives of the Steering Cocnittee on Reactor Safety, to discuss the types of engineering safeguard studies which might profitably be carried out by industry, in cooperation with the AEC, and in particular what studies of this t;pe might be appropriate for the Parr, South Carolina, plant.
The writer has tentatively agreed to meet with Mr. Fiss and his associates on January 27th, at the Bethesda Office, and will contact the Steering Committee in advance of that date to explore appropriate representation at this meeting.
