Suite 818 230 Peachtree Street, Northwest Atlanta, Georgia 30303 Re: Oconee Nuclear Station Docl.et Nos. 50-269, -270, -287
Dear Mr. Moseley:
Unusual Event Report UE-269/74-5 and my subsequent letter of October 18, 1974 described our plans for diagnostic testing with regard to the acceptance criteria for the Unit Loss of Electrical Load Test.
While we are continuing our evaluation with respect to possible system changes, we are also evaluating the possibility of deleting that portion of the test acceptance criteria concerned with maintaining house load after a loss of electrical load.
We plan to perform a generator trip test on Units 2 and 3 in order to verify turbine overspeed control.
This test will be performed within approximately one month of reaching 100 percent power on each of the respective units.
Very truly yours,
.; tif W A. C. Thies k
