Attached is a report which summarizes the B&W activities to resolve the ejected rod worth measurement at Rancho Seco.
This problem has been the subject of discussions in telephone conversations with the Staff and in meetings between the Staff and B&W in the past few months.
We feel that this report demonstrates that B&W has been responsive in assessing the problem and providing corrective actions to our customers.
We also feel that B&W has been cooperative with the Staff in their efforts to understand the problem and to assure the safe operations of the plant and the health and safety of the public.
Please be assured that at no time was any B&W plant allowed to operate in an unsafe manner nor was the public health or safety jeopardized.
B&W will continue direct communications with the Staff on this problem until the corrective actions for each plant is implemented.
