Dear Mr. Jones:
The Comission has issued the enclosed Amendment No. 48 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-40 for the Fort Calhoun Station, Unit No.1, This amendment consists of changes to the License and Technical Specifications in response to your applications transmitted by letters dated March 8,1978, October 24, 1978 and September 20, 1979.
The amendment adds a License Condition related to Secondary Water Chemistry and changes the Technical Specifications to allow limited testing of shock suppressors during operation and also adds two shock suppressors to the listing of those suppressors to be tested.
Copies of the Safety Evaluation and Notice of Issuance are also enclosed.
