Dear Mr. Duvall:
This is in response to your letter of May 8,1980, addressed to Mr. Guy Cunningham, which transmitted for coment a copy of an S-7 registration statement filed by the Carolina Power and Light Company (your file no. 2-64193). We have reviewed the statement and have not identified any statements which are inaccurate with respect to NRC's regulatory requirements. We have also been advised by the Commission's Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation financial analysis staff that they have not identified any infomation in the statement which is inconsistent with financial infomation filed with the NRC.
