RESPONSE TO IE INSPECTION REPORT 50-269, -270, -287/76-9 G
ITEM I Contrary to Technical Specification 4.6.7.c, an annual one-hour discharge test was not conducted on the Unit 3125 VDC system instrument and control batteries since issuance of the Unit 3 operating license on Jul'y 19, 1974.
RESPONSE
This item was previously addressed in Reportable Occurrence Report R0-287/
76-11 submitted by my letter of September 3, 1976.
As indicated by this submittal, a task force was formed to review and revise the Periodic Test Index by performing the following corrective actions:
1.
Examination of Technical Specification requirements to assure complete coverage and proper updating.
2.
Evaluation and revision of program format to make it more useful and meaningful.
3.
Revision of Station Directive 3.2.2 to assure that FSAR and Technical Specification changes are included in the periodic testing schedule.
The above corrective actions have been completed and appropriate revisions to Station Directive 3.2.2 and the Periodic Test Index have been made.
These actions provide adequate administrative controls to assure that annual testing of station batteries is conducted as required..
