022-47, and DPR-55 issued to Duke Power Company ( the licensee) for operation of the Oconee Nuclear Station, Units 1, 2, and 3 (the facility),

pressurized-water reactors located in Oconee County, South Carolina, and each current.ly authorized fbr operation at power levels up to 2568 >"Jt.

In accordance with the licensee's application for license a=end-ments dated July 9,1975, the a=endments vould codify operating limits in the Technical Specificctions based upon an evaluation of ECCS perfor=ance calculated in accordance with an accep, table evaluation codel that on-forms to the requirenents of the Co==ission's regulations in 10 CFR Section 50.46.

The amend:ents would modify yarious limits established in accordance with the Commission's Interim Acceptance Criteria, and would,.with respect to the Oconee Nuclear Station, Units 1, 2, and 3, terminate the further restrictions imposed by the Commission's Dece=ber 27, 1974 Order for Modification of License, and would impose r

s instead, limitations established in accordance with the Co==ission's Acceptance Criteria for Emergency Core Cooling Systems for Light 'Jater Nuclear Power Reactors, 10 CFR Sectica 50.46.

Prior to issuance of the proposed licease amendaents, the Commission will have made the rindings required by the Atonic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Commission's rules and regulations.

By the licensee may file a rec;uest for a ggp 12 9y3 hearing and any person whose interest may be af fected by this pro-cceding may file a recuest for a hearing in the form of a petition for leave to intervene with respect to the issuance of the a <:ndments to the subject facility operating licenses.

In the event that a hearing is held and a per' son is permitted to intervene, he becomes a party to the proceeding and has a right to participate fully in the. conduct of the hearing.
