Virginia Electric and Power Company, Richmond, VA (Surry Units 1 & 2)

PROPOSED IMPOSITION OF CIVIL PENALTIES
-$8,000 This is to inform the Commission that a Notice of Violation and Notice of Pro-posed Imposition of Civil Penalties in the amount of Eight Thousand Dollars will be issued on or about May 28, 1980 to Virginia Electric and Power Company.
This action is based on two alleged items of noncompliance relating to the improper radiation surveys of waste drums delivered to a carrier for transport and improper radiation surveys of the transport vehicle after loading.
A news release has been prepared and will be issued about the time the licensee receives the Notices.
The Commonwealth of Virginia will be notified.
It should be noted that the licensee has not been specifically informed of the enforcement action.
The schedule of issuance and notification is:
