In accordance with 10 CFR 2.201, Texas Instruments (TI) is responding to your letter of April 3, 1980, " Inspection No.

70-33/80-03".

The case of noncompliance as itemired in your Appendix A is described briefly below, with our (1) corrective steps which have been taken and the results achieved; (2) corrective steps which will be taken to avoid further items of noncompliance and (3) the date when full compliance will be achieved.

DEFICIENCY: Failure to maintain records on respirator assignments and leak tests on May 15, 1979; May 17, 1979 and September 7, 1979.

Corrective action and results achieved:

Personnel responsible for maintaining the records were re-instructed to complete all record items for I

each occasion of respirator use.

(b)

All respirator records entered subsequent to the inspection have had all items completed.

(2)

Corrective steps taken to avoid further items of noncompliance.
