Dear Mr. LaGrone:
This letter provic.as additional funding to Lawrence Livermore Laboratory to support the Division of Operating Reactors in the area of TMI Lessons Learned Inplementation. The scope of this work and schedule for this program defined in my December 12, 1979 letter should be modified to include the additional items identified in the enclosure. The FY 1980 LLL Financial Plan should be modified to include an additional $105,000 for this work undar B&R 20-19-01-04.

Monthly reports of technical progress and financial status should be forwarded to this office. A final report should be prepared upon completion of the work performed under FIN A0236.
The enclosed NRC Form 173 Standard Order for DOE work for a total of $200,000 is hereby submitted in accordance with Seetion III.B.2 of the DOE /NRC Memorandum of Understanding of February 24, 1978. Please indicate DOE acceptance by signing and returning the enclosed Form 173 to the NRC Office of the Controller.

Independent analysis in some areas may be required (downstream piping, valve dynamics).
Plant specific reviews will be conducted to endure adequacy of testing program.
2.1.4 II.E.4.2 Containment Isolation - Some STLL followup required in instance where licensee provided interim measures to meet intent of 2.1.4 assistance in summarizing current status of containment isolation re: diversity, non-essential system and reset to be documented for use in assessing need for additional staff requirements.
