, ENCLOSURE SEQUOYAH NUCLEAR PLANT UNIT 2 OMITTED PIPE RUPTURE PROTECTIVE DEVICES NCR SQN NEB 8009 AND NCR SQN NEB 8010 10CFR50.55(e)

FINAL REPORT Description of Condition During a review of analyses done by EDS Nuclear Inc., it was discovered that one pipe rupture protective device was omitted from the drawings of a 2-inch UHI line and two protective devices were omitted from a Steam Generator Blowdown Line.

4 Safety Implications The pipe rupture protective devices are intended to restrain high energy lines in the event of a pipe break. Thus, had this condition a

gone uncorrected a pipe break could have led to a breach of containment -

! or damage to other safety-related systems.

Corrective Action TVA will design, fabricate, and install the omitted protective devices and revise all the appropriate drawings to reflect the changes made.

All corrective action will be completed before fuel loading.
