NOTICE OF DEVIATION Based on the results of an NRC inspection conducted on February 11-14, 1980, it appears that certain of your activities were not conducted in accordance with NRC requirements as indicated below:
Criteria XVI of Appendix B to 10 CFR 50 states:
" Measures shall be established to assure that con-ditions adverse to quality, such as failures, mal-functions, deficiencies, deviations, defective ma-terial and equipment, and nonconformances are promptly identified and corrected.
In the case of significant conditions adverse to quality, the measures shall assure that the cause of the condi-tion is determined and corrective action taken to preclude repetition."
Contrary to the above, the Metals Bellows Corporation quality program does not include procedures or instructions that assure that the cause and con-ditions adverse to the quality are determined and corrective action taken to preclude repetition.
