Dear Mr. Engelken:

In accordance with the requirements of I6E Bulletin 79-01B, the Sacramento Municipal Utility District is hereby reporting the follow-ing as Reportable Occurrence 80-20.

Mr. J. Elin. of your office, visited Rancho Seco on April 7 through 10, 1980. The purpose of the visit was to determine and discuss the status of the District's answer to IE Bulletin 79-01B.

During that visit, Mr. Elin was informed that several safety related valves in the

-20 of the Auxiliary Building were identified as having NAMCO switches, which are not environmentally qualified for operation in high radiation areas or arc.a that could be subject to adverse ef fects of a line break.

A follow-up report will be submitted to your office within fourteen days.
