REQUESTS FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - SHOREHAM NUCLEAR POWER STATION In order to complete our review of the Shoreham application, we require adequate responses to th questions and positions provided in Enclosures 1 and.2: Enclosure 1 was derived primarily from NUREG/CR 0660, which was pre-pared by the University of Dayton Research Institute to identify problem areas contributing to the unreliability of emergency diesel generators. is based on our January 15-17, 1980 visit to the Shoreham Station and our. review of the latest revision to Shoreham's Physical Security Plan. We are withholding Enclosure 2 from public disclosure pur-suant to 10 CFR 2.790.

' During the January 15-17, 1980 site visit, LILCO provided a copy of certain weld procedures cno weld procedure qualification records to a nember of the NRCstaff(refer 1.oSNRC-461). We have treated this information as if it were proprietary information in accordance with 10 CFR 2.790. We have com-

' pleted our-rev.iew of this information, and it will be returned by Mr. Jerry Wilson, licensing project manager, during his next visit to the LILC0 pro-ject office.
