Dear Mr. Peoples:
He have reviewed your proposed fog and ice nonitoring program for the LaSalle County Station cooling lake and find that the program complies with the intent of requirements set forth in the LaSalle Final Environ-mental Statement (FES) and that the environ:..nntal goals of the FES will likely be achieved through implementation of the proposed program.
He note that you plan to implement the program from October 1 through March 31 each year rather than taking measurements on a 12-month basis.
This appears reasonable. However, we reques that you clarify the plan with respect to provisions to protect the public during hazardous conditions of fog and ice. Warning lights or other devices should be installed to alert approaching travelers when the road becomes impassable.
