August 7, 1972 Summa ry The :rceting uas held to discuss the concerns raised by the Site Analysis Branch and documented in the cuelosed March 23, 1972 ceno and its enclosure.
Each of the areas listed were discussed at length. Although the Oconee hydrc ogy had been reviewed and found acceptable during the previous Oconc e revleu (prior to the Deccaber 29, 1970 Safety Evaluation) it was decid;d to re-exanine this area in light of present day criteria for acceptanceo With regard to Area 1 in the encioned March 23, 1972 nemo Duke coraitted I
to providfng SAB its basic data on the probable maxinum ficod, PMF, used in the Duke design and analysis so that SAB could make an independent evaluation.
This data includes 1.
Storn data 2.
Spillway ang' outlet works data 3.
Flood routings 4.
Effective fetch 1-ines 5.
Drainage areas 6.
Arca and capacities of reservoirs 7.
Seismic analysis of Jocassee spillway The infornation is to be provided informally.
Duke said it could provide the flood data by August 10, 1972 and the seismic analysis in a couple of weeks. The Jocassee spillway analysis has never been done by Duke. All inforration is to be provided in four copies.
With regard to Area 2 in the enclosure to March 23, 1972 acao, the concerns were adequately addressed during the discussion at the necting and by the Duke handout also enclosed to this su= nary.
Although these concerns ucre relieved, the need for Duke to have good documented energency procedures to be available during the postulated conditions was' emphasized.
