This proceeding involves the application by Duke Power Company for operating licenses for its Oconee Nuclear Station Units 1, 2, and 3 nuclear power reactors located on its site in Oconee County, South Carolina. A notice of hearing i
on the application for provisional construction permits for Units 1, 2, and O
3 was published in the FEDERAL REGISTER on July 27, 1967 (32 FR 10996).
The Commission hereby requests, within 60 days of publication of this notice in the FEDERAL REGISTER, from State and local agencies of any affected State (with respect to matters within their jurisdiction) which are authorized
'to develop and enforce environmental standards, comments on the environmental.
impact of the proposed operation of the Oconee Nuclear Station Units 1,' 2, and 3 and on the information submitted for preparation of an Environmental State-

If any such State or local agency fails to provide the Commission with comments within 60' days of publication of this' notice in the. FEDERAL REGISTER, it will be presumed that the agency has no comments to.make.
