Dear Mr. O'Reilly:

In response to your letter of February 21, 1978, which forwarded IE Bulletin 78-04 concerning the environmental qualification of certain stem-mounted limit switches, a review of the design of Oconee Nuclear Station has been conducted.

There are no NAMCO D2400X or EA-170-302 SNAP LOCK switches in safety-related applications inside containment currently in use or planned for use at Oconee.

Very truly yours, f u.s..WilliamO. Parker,Jr.y cr f l
