ANSWER OF APPLICANT TO THE NOTICE OF HEARING The Applicant, Duke Power Company, acknowledges receipt, in the above captioned matter, of the Notice of Hearing to be held at 10:00 a.m. local time on August 29, 1967 at Oconee County Courthouse, Main Street, Walhalla, South Carolina, and of the prehearing conference to be held on August 15,1967 at 10:00 a.m. at the same place.

In answer to the Notice of Hearing,and pursuant to the provisions of 5 2.705 of the Atomic Energy Commission's " Rules of Practice", the Applicant hereby states:

1. The findings which the Director of Regulation proposes to make as set forth in the Notice of Hearing and the proposed Provisional Con-struction Permits appendeti to said Notice are appropriate and proper and 7912,130 h

q are not controverted by the Applicant.

The Applicant does not oppose the proposed action of the Director of Regulation as embodied in said Notice.

2.

The Applicant will be represented at the prehearing confer-ence on August 15, 1967 and will be prepared to proceed in accordance with the provisions of S 2.752 of the Commission's " Rules of Practice".

The Applicant will be represented at the hearing on August 29,1967 and will present evidence at that time. The position of the Applicant will be that all appropriate requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as. amended, and regulatior s issued thereunder, have been or will be c6mplied with and that the proposed Provisional Construction Permits should be issued accordingly.
