Leonee Nuclear Station Docktt Nos. 50-269, -270, -287

Dear Mr. Rusche:

In response to your letter dated October 4, 1976 concerning the Oconee Nuclear Station Post-LOCA Boric Acid Concentration Control System, instrumentation will be installed to provide positive indi-cation that the system is functioning after a postulated LOCA. This instrumentation will not be capable of quantitatively measuring flow; however, it will provide positive assurance that flow exists. This instrumentation will be provided during the refueling outages preceding the following fuel cycles:

Oconee 1, Cycle 4; Oconee 2, Cycle 3; and Oconee 3, Cycle 3.

Very truly yours

$4 William O. Parker, Jr.
