Dear Mr. Rusche:
Pursuant to 10 CFR 50 5 50.90, please find attached proposed changes to the Oconee Nuclear Station Technical Specifications.
The purpose of these revisions is to assure operation of the Oconee Unit 1, Cycle 3 core within applicable fuel design and performance criteria. Proposed changes are shown in Attachment 1 as replacement pages for the Oconee Nuclear Station Technical Specifications:
2.1 Safety Limits, Reactor Core 2.5 Limiting Safety System Settings, Protective Instrumentation 3.1.9 Low Power Physics Testing Restrictions 3.5.2 Control Rod Group and Power Distribution Limit Also attached i.: Babcock & Wilcox Report BAW-1427, "Oconee Unit 1 Cycle 3 Reload Report." This report includes a summary of Cycle 3 operating parameters, and contains safety analyses supporting operations of the Oconee 1 Cycle 3 Core at rated power in accordance with the Technical Specifications provided.
Certain data contained on Pages 4-5 and 4-6 have been identified as containing information which the Babcock and Wilcox Company considers to be proprietory and is included as Attachment 2.
Therefore, it is requested that Attachment 2 be withheld frcm public dis-closure pursuant to 10 CFR 2, 5 2.790.
Refueling operations for Oconee Unit 1 are presently scheduled to commence in late January 1976 with power operation resuming in early March 1976.
Accordingly, your prompt review of these proposed revisions is requested.
