cp Duke Power Company is filing herewith Amendment No. 9 to its Application for Licenses for the Oconee Nuclear Station, which is under construction pursuant to provisional construction permits CPPR-33, -34, and.-35 issued -

by the Commission on Noveuber 6,1967. This filing includes three (3) signed original copics of the Amendment, and seventy (70) copies of Revision No. 2 to the Oconee Final Safety Aaalysis Raport, which was filed as Amendment No. 7 on June 2,1969.

This Amendment is in a format designed to keep current the application j

and the Final Safety Analysis Report.

Please add the supplementary pages and insert the revised pages as replacements for existing pages in the seventy-three -(73) copics of the Final Safety Analysis Report (Serial Nos.

1-73), as per the attached tabulation identified as FSAR Revision No. 2.

Duke is also informed that these data are not available in the open literature and their disclosure would provide knowledgeable individuals with informa-tion which would impair B&W's competitive position. In the letter dated February 9,1970 from Mr. A. C. Thies to Dr. Peter A. Morris, transmitting this Amendment No. 9, Duke Power Company has requested that the pro-prietary classification of these Topical Reports be preserved and the reports be withheld from public disclosure.
