!n ycur letter you discussed the cases for your conclusion that those observed temperatures were acceptable, and comitted yourselves to corrective action to minimize their occurrence and to linit the tercer-atures in the reactor building to the observed values.
l'e have reviewed the information you have supplied in regard to this
- r. attar, including that contained in your letter of March 25, 1977, and have concluded that the observed tenperatures are acceptable. The control of the tancerature in the containment, hov.cVer. is irportant to safety since, i' not controlled it could adversely affect the' structural intecrity of the centainment and/or the operability of safety-N related ccaponents.
iccordingly, you are requested to sutnit nrocosed technical scecifications defining the finiting conditions for operation relative to teperatures in the containrent, the supporting bases for such liaits, and a::propriate surveillance and action requirements.
