Dear Mr. Beard:

This refers to the inspection conducted from October 7 - 10, 2019, at the Global Nuclear Fuel -

Americas, L.L.C. (GNF-A) Wilmington, North Carolina facility. The purpose of the inspection was to determine whether activities authorized by the licensee were conducted safely and in accordance with Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) requirements. On October 10, 2019, the inspector discussed the results of the inspection with members of your staff.

Areas examined during the inspection consisted of fixed site physical protection for special nuclear material (SNM) of low strategic significance (LSS); physical protection of shipment of SNM of LSS; and protection of safeguards information. Within this area, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observation of activities in progress. There were no violations identified.

This letter and the enclosed report contain sensitive unclassified information and will not be available for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) components of NRCs document system (ADAMS).
