Dear Mr. Seyfrit:

Our review of tanks in reference to IE Bulletin 80-05, dated March 10, 1980, is not yet complete.

To date, this review has determined that all affected tanks are in the NSSS scope of supply with the exception of the Recycle Holdup Tanks. Both the Architect-Engineer and NSSS supplier are evaluating the affected tanks in accordance with criteria cited in Bulletin 80-05.

We request an extension to July 15, 1980 to determine the scope of the problem and implement corrective action, as necessary. If there are any questions, please advise.

Very truly yours, R. . Gar RJG:dk cc: Director U. -S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Office of Inspection and Enforcement Division of Reactor Operations Inspection Washington, D. C. 20555 m
