As a result of a recent review of the Hatch Nuclear Plant Security Plan and observations made by NRC Region II, we have detennined that certain portions of the plan do not establish an adequate commitment to search persons entering the protected area for explosive and incendiary devices as required by 10 CFR 73.55(d)(1). Accordingly, you are requested to amend the security plan in accordance with the enclosed coninents and submit the revisions within ten days of your receipt of this letter.
