Dear Mr. Mattimoe:
In our Fire Protection Safety Evaluation Report (SER) dated February 28, 1978, we provided a schedule for completion of all required modifications at the Rancho Seco Nuclear Generating Station. All modifications were required to be completed by the end of the 1979 refueling outage, which did not commence until early 1980 due to outages which occurred in 1979.
The SER also identi-fied many areas where we needed further information to fully evaluate your facility's fire protection capability, and you have subsequently provided us with that information.
Based on your submittals, we have found all fire pro-tection modifications that you have proposed to be acceptable. Therefore, it is now appropriate for you to revise your Technical Specifications (TSs) to reflect these modifications.
j To assist you in preparing your submittal, we have enclosed a copy of our Fire Protection Standard TSs.
It is requested that you prepare revised TSs using the enclosure as a guide, and submit your proposed revision within 45 days of receipt of this letter.
