O 8004300 1 7590-01 UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION DOCKET NO. 50-344 PORTLAND GENERAL ELECTRIC COMPANY THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON PACIFIC POWER AND LIGHT COMPANY NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Comission (the Comission) has issued Amendment No. 43 to facility Operating, License No. NPF-1, issued to Portland General Electric Company, the City of Eugene, Oregon, and Pacific Power and Light Company (the licensees), which revised Technical Specifications for operation of Trojan Nuclear Plant (the facility) located in Columbia County, Oregon. The amendment is effective i

as of the date of issuance.

The amendment changes the Technical Specifications to allow a one-time two-day extension of the surveillance interval for control rod drop times.

The application for'the amendment complies'with the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954,-as amended (the l

Act), and the Comission's rules -and regulations.

The Comission has l

made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Comission's l

l rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license. amendment.

not required since this amendment does not involve a significant hazards consideration.

7590-01 2-The Commission has determined that the issuance of this amendment will not result in any significant environmental impact and that pursuant to 10 CFR Si.5(d)(4) an environmental impact statement or negative declaration and environmental impact appraisal need not be prepared in connection with issuance of this amendment.
