Grand Gulf Nuclear Station Units 1 and 2 Dockets Nos. 50-416 and 50-417 File 0272/15526/L-860.0 PRD-80/03, Interim Report, Damaged Instrumentation Cables Under Reactor Pressure Vessel AECM-80/60 On February 28, 1980, Mississippi Power & Light Company notified Mr. M. J. Gouge of your office of a deficiency concerning damaged instru-mentation cables under the Reactor Pressure Vessel (RPV).
Mr. Gouge was notified at that time of our determination that this matter was not re-portable within the meaning of 10CFR50.55(e). This notification was made for information purposes only. On March 6, 1980, Mr. Gouge informed Mississippi Power & Light Company that this deficiency should be considered and processed as a reportable condition.
tur interim report on this deficiency is attached. Our investigation and corrective action plan is presently incomplete. We expect to provide a final report on this matter by June 9, 1980.
