Cracking at the weld attachment between the collar and the themal sleeve on auxiliary feedwater nozzles of steam generators at Oconee Unit.1 was reported to the NRC.

On March 5,1980, B&W was requested to provide information relative to the discovered failures.

By letter dated March 17,1980 (enclosed),

B&W indicated that the subject infomation had been transmitted to the affected utilities and they requested that we contact these utilities for the needed infomation.
