Dear Sir or Madam:

I am a student at Bridgewater State College currently working on a research project dealing with nuclear power and am interested in gaining information about ruclear power from many pointa of view.

Specifically, my project deals with the effects nuclear power plants are having on New England marine organisms due to radiation, chemical "nnte disposal, thermal pollution and other factors.

I am sure that the NRC has done extensive investigations of nuclear power and its effects, and I would appreciate it greatly if you would send me any information of current reports that you have relating to the following list of concerns:

1) Level of radiation emmission permitted by the NRC
2) Effect of radiation on marine life
3) Degree and effects of thermal changes in sea water due to ocean water used as the reactor cooling system
4) List of chemical wastes (ie. iron sulfate) that are re-leased into the oceans.
5) Amount of water that runs through the reactor per hour.

If some of this material is too large or too expensive to send, please send me the title of the reference ond/or the price that t.tzwould cost to have it sent to me.

Thank you for your time and effort with this project.

If you have any questions regarding my request, feel free to contact me.

Sincerely, Barbara J. Rogers 8 004210(C) d5g)
