's We are submitting this as a supplement to our previous response, dated August 13, 1974, to the apparent violations as detailed in the above report.

1.A.l.a " Procedure Review of Special Processes" Procedure 1701.01, " Repair of Incore Instrument Tubes" has been reviewed by the QCE on 8/6/74 and Technical Support Engineer on 8/7/74 with no deficiencies noted. Procedure No.1005.02, " Handling of Procedures", has been revised as of 6/10/74. As per this revision, any special procedures covered under 1004.07, " Control of Special Processes", will be forwarded to the cognizant supervisor for review by the Plant Safety Committee Secretary before the final approval and implementation.

" Failure to Log Significant Annunciations" The revision to 1005.01 " Administrative Control Ibnual" as noted in our previous response has been signed by the Plant Superintendent and implemented as of 8/5/74.

. that we did inspect the shavings, but there was no way to make any defi- -

4 nite conclusions from the inspection. In lieu of the inspection of shavings, the integrity of the incore tubes was assured by hydrotest to 4,000 psi.
