The following is submitted in response to your letter dated February 6, 1980 concerning I.E.Bulletin 80-03.

Georgia Power Company will not use the standard type II, tray or drawer absorber cell at Plant Vogtle. The Plant Vogtle absorber cells are of the ver-tical fill type and use perforated metal sheets welded, not riveted, to the filter casings. American Air Filtter Company is the vendor for the ESF and the post-LOCA purge exhaust absorber cells. The vendor for all other absorber cells (non-ESF) is Mine Safety Applicance Company.

These filters have been purchased and the first shipment to the site is scheduled for April 10, 1980 for the ESF filters and May 1,1980 for the non-ESF filters.
