f Richard C. DeYoung, Assistant Director for PWR's, Directorate of Licensing SACRAMENTC MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT, RANCHO SECO NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION, UNIT NO. 1 DOCKET NO. 50-312 -- SUITABILITY OF NON-NORMALIZED PLATES INSTALLED ON SECONDARY SIDE OF STEAM GENERATOR The information submitted by the applicant in Appendix 4A of Amendment No. 9 of the application for an operating license, in response to AEC Questions Nos. 4.9 and 4.10 of the Q1 request for additional information, has been reviewed by the Materials Engineering Branch, DL.
The appli-cant's response to the two questions is completely acceptable.
The applicant has submitted sufficient evidence for the conclusion that the tensile and impact properties of the as-rolled plates installed on the secondary side of the steam generator are essentially as uniform across the plate dimensions as the properties of the normalized plates.
Accordingly, we agree with the applicant that the as-rolled plates are adequate for the intended service conditions.
