I&PTE DRLtTAI - RT-277 This memormdum is to identify a potential probima and to request assistance in evaluating the functional adequacy of the loss of flow protection pro-posed for Crvatal River. The protectica systers for tais plant differs from that of its predecessors Oconse & Three Mile Isled, with respect to th's method of monsuring reactor coolant flow. Flow in this plant 'is "rnaanrad" using mortitors which sense almetrical pwer to each puep. Will you please let us know whether ycu believe this indirect method of measuring flow could lesd' to am andetected flow reduction.
