d Florida Power Corporation is pleased to present to you its Environmental Status Report (now on a permanent semi-annual basis) covering the period October,1972-March,1973. We feel th'at due to the recently expanded research effort at our various plant sites, a more cohesive presentation of findings would be forthcoming in a twice-yearly document than in a quarterly one.

Included in this issue is discussion and technical infonnation regarding environmental work at the Crystal River Nuclear Plant site, the Anclote Plant site, and the Weedon Island Plant site during the October-March semester, together with a brief description of the supporting and associated activities during that same period.

We trust that this report will continue to be useful in supplementing your understanding of our environmental efforts, and we encourage you to contact us should you have any questions con-cerning the scope or direction of these activities.
