Florida Power Corporation Crystal River Unit #3 Docket No. 50-302
Dear Mr. DeYoung:
This letter is to inform you of the measures planned by Florida Power Corporation to meet the provisions of Section V.B of Appendix I to 10 CFR Part 50 for the Crystal River Unit 3 Nuclear Generating Plant.
The pro-posed actions incorporate guidance provided in your letter of February 19, 1976, wherein an evaluation was requested of the capability of the Crystal River Unit 3 Nuclear Generating Plant to meet the requirements set forth in Section II of Appendix I to 10 CFR Part 50.
That guidance also temporarily excluded the requirement for a plant specific assessment under Section II.D of Appendix I to 10 CFR Part 50.
Florida Power Corporation is performing the evaluation requested in Item 1 of Enclosure 1 to your previously referenced guidance letter.
The evaluation incorporates guidance provided by the new Draft Regulatory Guides 1.AA, l.BB, l.DD, and 1.EE.
We are also gathering for submittal the information re-quested in Enclosure 2 to that guidance letter.
Our present plans include submittal of the requested in-formation and the evaluation regarding Section II of Appendix I to 10 CFR Part 50 on or before June 4, 1976.
