Dear Mr. Long:
In reference to ycur Inspection 76-16, conducted by your inspectors at the Crystal River Unit I!3 facility, we find no arcas in your reports that con-O tain proprietary infornation.
.U Regarding the unresolved item for which you requested a reply, ce wish to advise you that we have investigated the pr'blen and have determined that primarily it was due to the extended period over which the Plant Review -
Comittee reviewed some 900 alam responses (approximately a year); the procedure was to revicw each alam responre to detemine its adequacy to perform the intended function. We have determined, during a recent check, that individual alam responses are fully adequate as specified even though.
identical alams in different trains did not have identical responses.
Our resolution to the problem has been to completely rewrite Annuaciator.
j Alam Procedure AP-102 to correct the problem. 'Ihis effort is 850 complete; we expect final rwrite of the procedure to be complete by Nove::ter 1,1976.
l In addition, Plant Review Comittee members hare been instructed to include in their review a check to assure that similar procedure sections for re-i dundant systems are identical.
