CQ a po m a Tso m 28 February 1977 3-0-3-a-1 CS-77-38 Mr. Norman C. Moseley, Director Docket No. 50-302 Office of Inspection and Enforcement License #DPR-72 U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Comission Licensee Event Report 77-15 230 Peachtree St., N.W., Suite 818 Atlanta, GA 30303
Dear Mr. Moseley:
This report is submitted in accordance with Technical Specification 6.9.1 and Regulatory Guide 1.16, Revision 4, Section C.2.b.(1) as a written Thirty (30) Day Report.
O, Technical Specification 3.7.1.3 requires that the condensate storage tank be maintained at the 150,000 gallon levei or greater. During initial filling of feedwater heaters and lines during power operation, daily surveillance showed the condensate storage tank level to be lowering below the 150,000 gallon level. The tank was filled to greater than 150,000 gallons in less than one hour.
As required by the Tech. Spec., the hotwell was monitored, and it contained greater than 200,000 gallons (150,000 gallons required).
No safety implications were presented by this occurrence.
Very truly yours, FLORIDA POWER CORPORATION L e F h u.u e_ t [
