Your office was notified on 3 January 1977 of this event. This report is submitted in accordance with Technical Specification 6.9.1 and Regulatory Guide 1.16, Revision 4, Section 2.a. (3), as a written Fourteen (14) Day Report.

A through wall crack was found in an eight inch Schedule 40 304 stainless g
steel building spray pipe. This crack is in the heat affected zone of a pipe-to-pipe weld at a location which contained stagnant water.
We are taking action in accordance with IE Circular 76-06 dared 24 November 1976. A su= mary report will be submitted within sixty (60) days.
